A Better Workplace

Consulting

Diversity is a reality in your workplace. Are leaders and managers ready to leverage it as a business and talent driver?

Managing Diversity can take many forms:

  • Differing thinking styles.
  • Differing levels of experience.
  • Differing cultural backgrounds (ethnicity, nationality, geography).
  • Differing opinions around gender roles.
  • Conscious and unconscious bias and stereotype assumptions around minorities and their “presumed” behaviors (LGBT, ethnic minorities, religious minorities).
  • Differing generational approaches to work.

What do we do?

Culture and Engagement Audits

We assess your company culture and report the findings to you so that you can understand where your starting point is. This culture audit is really uncovering how work gets done, what behaviors are encouraged and who holds the power? What are the covert processes in play and how do your systems and policies support your goals?

We work with your leaders and managers to help them further develop their intercultural and gender competencies so that they can set the right tone and are equipped to support an unbiased culture where all voices can be heard. Are innovative new business ideas being is silenced because only one certain type of communication is heard?

If leaders succeed in understanding their role in creating a high performing, inclusive culture, then the firm’s employees can take up their roles in supporting a workplace based on meritocracy. Without leadership or with biased leadership, fiefdoms emerge, status quo prevails and it’s politics as usual. The result is the mental or actual resignation of great people!

Only with enlightened leadership can high performing work teams emerge, with motivated and talented employees able to feel the benefits of both cultural support and the HR team’s structural support (programs and policies).
