The story of us

Nicki Gilmour launched Evolved People in 2007 with the flagship career site- theglasshammer.com. Evolved Employer was launched in 2008 as companies needed support in developing structures, behaviors and pathways to engage their talent of all types to reach the magic place of individual performance powering organizational performance and the virtuous circle that can be with aligning people strategy with company strategy.

Nicki saw the need to connect the four pillars of talent strategy, organizational strategy, leadership development and organizational development via her own experiences as a young leader running the US arm of global media tech business in her late twenties and being part of the management team that built and sold the businesses  (efinancialcareers.com part of the Financial News Group- sold Dice in 2007, and The Financial News to Dow Jones/Wall Street Journal in 2006).

Three brands emerged in the portfolio of Evolved People. These include- Evolved People which is a coaching and leadership development (including team coaching) company, Evolved Employer for all things OD (organizational development - from connecting strategy to structure to talent management, and employee wellness and engagement), finally  theglasshammer.com to coach professional women specifically to optimally navigate their careers.

Our upcoming forth brand is Evolved Wellbeing and is a wellness and retreat offering for leadership wellness, renewal and development.

Founder, CEO, Head of Coaching Practice

Nicki is a hands on founder, a true visionary with practical grit to drive people and processes forward. Without a doubt, Nicki’s magic superpower is to cut through the noise of  everything to see in very clear terms how things work and connect. As an organizational and leadership coach, working with leaders to progress their own abilities to lead while contextually understanding the change levers of strategy, Nicki proves to be an invaluable partner for performance and change. 

Nicki understands what is needed and corrals the right experts on her team to the project.

Nicki has two business degrees from Manchester (UK) and La Universidad de Murcia (Spain) and a masters in organizational psychology with a specialization in change leadership from Columbia University in NYC , where she also undertook her coaching certification.

Her approach is direct, candid, and comprehensive. Nicki is certified in Disc, Hogan, the 5 behaviors and Immunity to change and is undertaking her MCC (master coach) at the ICF. She is fluent in Spanish and can coach in Spanish also. 

 She enjoys snowboarding, yoga, tai chi, pickleball, learning new things, and talking with humans.

Nicki founded Evolved People in 2007 with the brands Evolved Employer, Evolved People Coaching and theglasshammer.com crafted as a thoughtful intersected portfolio approach to the mission of organizational and executive development. Evolved has a cadre of 15 coaches globally that we deploy where and when needed.

    Chief Learning Officer, Head of Talent Strategy Consulting

    Dr. C is a seasoned talent management and learning executive who is comprehensive in her approach to besieging and reviewing talent and learning strategies. She is just as comfortable finding solutions to executing on the smallest most crucial details that ensure operational success.

    A true gem, warm and unassuming, she is our secret weapon on projects.

    Dr. C has a Phd in Social-organizational psychology from teachers College, Columbia University in the City of NY

    Sales Manager

    Jerry is a seasoned sales and business development consultant with over 15 years of experience in SaaS and professional services. He has worked with startups, mid-market firms, and global enterprises, known for his ability to simplify complex ideas and build strong client relationships.

    He currently serves as Head of Sales at Evolved People and is also a certified facilitator in the Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team, helping groups build trust, alignment, and healthy performance.

    With over 30 years in solution-based consulting, Jerry brings a deep commitment to helping teams succeed — both in business and beyond.

  • Jessica Robaire

    Coach, Head of Coaching Operations

    Jessica is a certified coach who helps clients navigate transitions, grow as leaders, and step fully into their potential.

    With a background in clinical social work, she brings both empathy and structure to her work — meeting people where they are while helping them move forward with clarity and confidence.

    She holds a Master’s in Social Work from McGill University and completed her executive coach training through American University’s ICF-accredited program.

    Jessica also leads team development workshops as a certified Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team facilitator, guiding groups to build trust and collaborate more effectively.

    Chief Customer and Employee Experience Officer

    Jen Klein is our customer and employee experience expert

    Jen has a passion for people insights. Complimenting our organizational psychologists, Jen can create operational blueprints and journey maps. This type of strategic internal marketing communications plans help ensure change can happen because people can follow a plan and know what to do next at al times.

    Jen is a coach and has significant experience in Kaizen, six sigma and other operational efficiency methods

    Jen most recently was head of customers and colleague insight at Zoetis and has a robust career in the diagnostics industry.

    Chief Financial Officer

    Ian Magee is a Chief Financial Officer and Head of Business Management Consulting.

    Ian is an excel genius with a track record of modeling and forecasting excellence for business performance.

    Most recently CFO of a strategy Philanthropy fun called New Profit, and with a background in finance and management consulting, Ian ensures the numbers are always robust in your people and business strategy.

    Ian has an engineering degree from Cambridge University, England.

    He resides in NYC.

    Aimee Hansen is a writing and communications subject matter expert.

    With a background in advertising and then creative writing, Aimee has worked with Evolved Employer for over ten years as a writer and editor on theglasshammer.com

    Aimee has been published widely including in Medium.com and the Elephant Journal. She founded and runs The Storyteller Within - an award winning writing retreat and virtual circle for women.
